Thank you for the small recipes. I do a lot of canning but sometimes am put off because my recipes are a lot larger and I don't want to get the big water bath ready...I can do most of these easily, even the recipes calling for a water bath...just use one of my larger pots. And I can try one recipe to see if I/we like it...to see if I want to make more.

Love refrigerator pickles - I make ones with zucchini and dill sometimes. They are so easy and so good! And it's nice not to have to crank up the stove for the water bath canning process, which really makes the kitchen hot in the summer (though I do it, don't get me wrong). Thanks for reminding me about refrigerator pickles. I gotta make a batch before summer is over! Plus, it's always nice to have pickled onions on hand for tacos, scrambled eggs, sandwiches, etc.

Confession: I've never pickled anything at home because it's never been my jam (not a fan of pickles or of the flavor of most pickled foods). BUT: I had the most amazing pickled raspberries and pickled strawberries this summer that totally challenged my view! I love this roundup because it has so many different foods -- especially love the idea of pickling pineapples and blueberries!

I've never made pickles. It's one of those things that I remember my mom canning when growing up, so I always thought it was a long drawn out process. Thanks to Chopped, I learned otherwise. I still need to make something pickled!
